Dinko Valchev from Burgas, a 50-year-old citizen of Burgas with a measure of restraint imposed on him by the Court of Appeals in Burgas and a man detained in Sofia, is Flagman.bg. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the brutal murder of his accomplice Behçet Mehmed-Mecho from Aytos.
The serious crime was committed in 2015 in the Banevo district of Burgas. Then the two quarreled over money, the scandal escalated, after which Dinko hit Mecho in the head with a metal pipe and left him in place.
Realizing what he had done, he tried to hide the corpse, but since Behçet was a healthy man – over 120 kg, Dinko tied his body to the car, dragged him to a fire, where he burned sick animals, then threw several car tires on him and him lit up.
The fire smoldered for several hours, leaving only the skull, torso and larynx. The brutal sadist collected them and threw them in the dump, and cut Mecho’s car for scrap metal and destroyed it, covering even the smallest traces.
Dinko is being prosecuted at second instance for a crime under Art. 115 and Art. 216 of the Penal Code for murder and damage to another’s movable property, and in the first instance the citizen of Burgas has already been sentenced to 18 years in prison.
Even when reading the sentence, it makes an impression that the measure of restraint is symbolic – a guarantee of BGN 1,000. The motive of the court was that Dinko Valchev had a clean record. A little later, the Court of Appeals in Burgas imposed the most severe measure on him, but Dinko had already sunk to the ground.
In an impeccable action taken by GDNP officers and their colleagues from ODMVR-Burgas and SDVR, the killer was identified and detained.
In view of the gravity of his crime, he was remanded in custody. The case was reported to the District Prosecutor’s Office-Burgas, the detainee was escorted to the prison in the seaside town, where he should endure the measure imposed on him.
