A funeral home employee freed a man from a morgue in the middle of the night. The man had fallen asleep after saying goodbye to a deceased friend.
The older man called 911 because he woke up in a morgue, a dispatcher from the East Netherlands police control room writes. social media. “I don’t know what to say at the moment,” the operator writes. “Some images flash through my mind of an old man with gray hair in a long nightgown barefoot in a morgue, with an open coffin next to it of course.”
It turned out that things didn’t go that smoothly. The man was rescued from the morgue shortly after the telephone call. The operator has a nice story richer. “I have had many strange reports during the night shift, but I will never forget this one.”
It is not known how the man was able to remain in the morgue after closing time. Nor is it clear how long he slept there.
