Leipzig – Florian Kohfeldt had to congratulate the opposing coach again, the VfL Wolfsburg players, who were beaten again, stood on the lawn with empty eyes. RB Leipzig has further exacerbated the sporting crisis in Lower Saxony in the Bundesliga.
The self-sacrificing Kohfeldt team lost 2-0 (0-0) at the German runners-up and has now been waiting for a win for eleven competitive games. And the relegation rank is only two points away. “Shitty” is the feeling he would wake up with on Monday, said Kohfeldt.
“It’s extremely disappointing for us and frustrating,” emphasized Wolfsburg’s sports director Marcel Schäfer at the broadcaster DAZN. Schäfer did not want to question the coach, who replaced the unsuccessful Mark van Bommel last October. During the international break, Kohfeldt should prepare the team for the very important game against the strengthened bottom SpVgg Greuther Fürth. When asked the relevant question, Schäfer answered clearly and unequivocally with “Yes. It is also the case that we want to go through this phase together.”
Kohfeldt confident
Between them – Kohfeldt, Schäfer and Sport Managing Director Jörg Schmadtke – there was “maximum trust” and an extremely good exchange in every situation, Kohfeldt assured a little later and added: “The good thing is that we now have the two weeks. Then we will win against Fürth.”
The Wolfsburg team took two out of a possible 27 points, nine of the eleven games without a win were lost. “If you have shit on your feet, it just sucks,” emphasized Wolfsburg’s Maximilian Arnold. “We all gave everything,” said keeper and captain Coen Kasteels: “It’s very bitter.”

“Kack gate” to the tour

Many errors

Not so a few minutes later: After a header from Silva on the post, Orban also headed the ball over the line from one and a half meters – and the goal counted. Gvardiol then followed up – confirmed by the video evidence.
But Kohfeldt’s fifth personal bankruptcy in the Bundesliga against RB also encouraged the coach of the crisis VfL, not the result at all, but the appearance. Up until the 75th minute, they had “performed incredibly well” defensively, but it was okay offensively. “If we lead 1-0 or 2-0 in half, no one can complain,” said Kohfeldt.
