Now the California man has turned 49 and the youthful lids have been replaced with a rougher, short hairstyle as well as a thick mustache and beard.

In the interview with Australian The Morning Show, Lewis reflects on how the series managed to become one of the most set and commentary of its time.

– It starts with the title, sex. Every good writing job speaks to something we all experience, and they did such a good job with this series, while making it entertaining and sensational, Lewis tells the Australian Morning Show program.

Speaking about the nude scenes: – Poor cameraman

One of the scenes many remember is when the character Smith lands a role in the play “Full Moon” which ends with him undressing his carpenter’s pants and standing naked in front of a full audience.

– I remember it. It required many recordings and many people. It was a good lesson to get used to being in command. When you have a number of people in one scene, you have to shoot from one angle to the other, so I got to do it from many different angles. Poor cameraman, laughs Lewis.

He remembers this scene best

Still, it wasn’t the nudity scene that set the deepest mark on the actor. Many remember when the character Samantha got cancer and lost her hair after chemotherapy. Then the Smith character shaved off his trademark long blonde lids to show support for Samantha, who was to speak at a charity gala for cancer research revenue.

It ended with Samantha revealing that she was bald, by tearing the wig off during the speech. The response was overwhelming because a number of women in the hall got up and tore their wigs, while Smith cheered enthusiastically.

– It was one of the best moments I had while filming, because the actors in the scene were all cancer survivors. It was a very meaningful story, especially because one of our manufacturers had suffered from cancer as well. Again, they did so well, they managed to include something in the entertainment that was more than just sex, Lewis says.

Going to be married

It is now 17 years since he first became world famous as Smith Jerrod, but in real life he has also found his Samantha. Prior to the coronation era, Lewis had started planning his wedding with girlfriend Liz after getting engaged on a cliff in Malibu last year.

These days, Lewis is involved in the organization “Best Buddies”, which aims to fight the loneliness and extravagance of people with ADHD, learning disabilities and the disabled through mentors acting as siblings.
