Several people were stabbed on Saturday in and near a library in the Canadian city of Vancouver. Six victims have been taken to hospital, a spokesman for the emergency services told the news channel CBC. According to authorities, one person has been killed and several injured.
Nothing has yet been disclosed about the possible motive of the perpetrator, who probably acted alone. The suspect was arrested and taken to hospital by ambulance.
The police are looking for witnesses to the stabbing.
