On the eve of the New Year’s festivities, a police station already targeted by mortar fire. In Pontault-Combault, several shots were observed in the direction of the police station on Wednesday around 7 p.m.
“It sets the tone for tomorrow night!”, fulminates Christophe Gonzalez, regional secretary of the Alliance 77 union.
The shooting stopped after half an hour, according to a police source. No damage or injury is to be deplored. Local reinforcements were dispatched to the area to patrol the neighborhood. No arrests took place. The area was quiet again by mid-evening.
