A 71-year-old man is in danger of death after he got a tree in the park of Wijnegem.

The man has lived in the park for about thirty years, according to the police. On Saturday he was putting out trees with a comrade. One of the trees landed badly and landed on the victim.
“The fire brigade came to the scene to get the man from under a tree,” says Commissioner Johan Wonnink of the Minos police zone. “The man was taken to hospital in danger of his life.”
