A serious accident between two cars completely closed the first intersection for the “Meden Rudnik” railway line at the moment, eyewitnesses reported.
On Zahari Stoyanov Blvd., shortly after the Dega gas station, two cars – a Volkswagen Passat and a Seat taxi – collided violently. According to a witness, one of the cars was trying to make a U-turn when the collision occurred, and the other was speeding down the boulevard.
The vehicles spun around so much that it is impossible to determine who is to what extent to blame for the tragedy.
The melee looks scary, there are people inside and they can’t be taken out, moans are heard, another eyewitness claimed.
Around 11 p.m., a Civil Defense team with special equipment went to the place and will start cutting the doors to get the victims out. At least 4 have serious injuries. According to unconfirmed information, a mother with a small child was traveling in one of the cars. It is not clear if there were any deaths on the spot.
A girl can be heard crying, who is seriously trapped under one of the cars, a door probably opened on impact.
