According to the Chicago police, the robberies took place between Friday at 10:00 pm and Saturday at 7:10 am. The incidents involved both individuals being robbed and vehicles being hijacked.

In each case, the suspects, described as four or five young African American men aged 20 to 25, would exit a red sedan and approach their victims. They would then brandish firearms and demand the victims hand over their cell phones and wallets, as reported by the police.

“In one of the incidents, a vendor and his customers were also robbed in the early hours of the morning,” stated the Chicago police.

The locations where the robberies occurred are as follows:

– 1800 block of West Grand, Friday, June 23 at 10:00 pm.
– 1900 block of West Ohio, Friday, June 23 at 10:15 pm.
– 200 Block of West Institute Place, Friday, June 23 at 11:50 pm.
– 1000 Block of North Milwaukee, Saturday, June 24 at 12:05 am.
– 1300 Block of North Paulina, Saturday, June 24 at 12:07 am.
– 1900 block of 21st St., Saturday, June 24 at 7:10 am.

The suspects were reportedly wearing dark clothing and were armed with handguns and black semi-automatic rifles.
