Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has ordered them to be reinforced operations in all operational areas and has given instructions to eliminate the possibility of the Ukrainian armed forces to launch massive missile strikes on cities in Donbass and other regions.
This is reported today by the Russian Ministry of Defense, providing information on an inspection by Shoigu of the grouping of troops in Ukraine. The minister’s instructions are aimed at the Russian military groups “South” and “Center”.
“After hearing the reports of the commanders of the “South” and “Center” groupings, Army General Sergei Surovikin and Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, as well as other commanders and superiors on the current situation, the nature of the enemy’s actions and the course of the fighting tasks of the Russian Armed Forces, the Russian military leader gave the necessary instructions for further activation of the groups’ actions in all operational directions in order to eliminate the possibility of the Kyiv regime to carry out massive missile and artillery strikes on the civilian infrastructure and the inhabitants of the settlements in Donbas and other regions”, the ministry said.
It is not mentioned nneither when the inspection was made nor where it was carried out. State agencies at this stage do not distribute photographic material, but publish their material with archival photographs.

It is the second inspection of the Minister of Defense of the Russian troops, involved in a special operation. The Russian Defense Ministry first reported on Shoigu’s visit to the military personnel involved in the special operation on June 26, without giving details. Then the inspection was done after the announcement of the victory in the LPR and the promise personally from the president Vladimir Putin to take an “operational break”.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the head of the military department paid special attention to the organization of the overall support of combat operations and the creation of all the necessary living conditions for Russian servicemen in the centers for temporary deployment.
During the inspection of the grouping of Russian troops in execution of the presidential decree, Shoigu awarded the “Golden Star” medals for bravery and heroism to Colonel-General Alexander Lapin and Major-General Esedula Abachev.
