Separation from Orlando was necessary

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have grown stronger together since their brief split in 2017.

The ‘Never Worn White’ singer and 43-year-old actor – who are currently expecting their first child together – took a break three years ago before giving their romance a second chance and becoming engaged in February of last year.

Now Katy talks about their separation and reveals that both of them went on “individual trips” during this time, which made their bond stronger. “It’s really an individual trip that makes the whole thing better. We both had to choose to do this trip separately, because it’s not my half and your half that make up a whole. It’s my wholeness and your wholeness, that makes the whole thing possible, “says Katy in an interview with the ‘People’ magazine.

The 35-year-old wrote a song titled ‘Champagne Problems’ about her relationship with Orlando, which addresses the “challenges” that she faced as a couple. She adds, “It’s a song that really speaks about how intense it has gotten and how many things we’ve had to go through. Yes, we have problems. Everyone has challenges in a relationship.”
