Sentenced to five years in prison after the congressional storm

One of the people who stormed the Congress has been sentenced to five years in prison, after throwing a fire extinguisher at the police.


The man, who has been sentenced to five years in prison, comes from Florida and was one of many rebels who stormed Congress on January 6.

CNN writes that the sentence is considered to be the longest sentence from the uprising.

During the storm, the man is said to have attacked the police with a fire extinguisher, a wooden plank and a pole.

According to the report, the man allegedly sprayed with a fire extinguisher on police officers, and threw the empty container at them twice. When he refused to back up, Palmer is said to have been shot in the stomach with a rubber bullet.

District Judge Tanya Chutkan is said to have expressed concern about the growing violence, when she handed down the verdict.

“Every day we hear about reports of anti-democratic factions, people planning potential violence in 2024,” Chutkan said.

– It must be made clear that attempts to stop the peaceful transfer of power, to attack law enforcement, will be met with a certain punishment. Not being at home, not watching Netflix, not doing what you did before you were arrested, Chutkan said.
