YouTuber and singer Selma Omari ignores the negative messages that people on social media are firing at her, she says in the podcast Alicante.

“If I don’t see it, it doesn’t exist for me,” said Omari. The YouTuber and singer calls the haters “very narrow in their mindset”.

Despite her career as an influencer and in music, people mainly comment on the private life of rapper Boef’s ex-girlfriend. Omari encourages her haters to listen to her music. “I’ll respond to that.”

Omari is in the process of producing her debut album. According to her, many people still have a limited way of thinking about how hip-hop music should sound in the Netherlands, especially if the artist is a woman.
