According to the first elements of the investigation, a driver and his passenger refused to stop at a police check.
The driver suddenly reversed and a police officer in the back of the “controlling” vehicle was struck.
A second policeman who was next to the driver also attempted to stop the vehicle.
The motorist started driving the policeman “over several meters” according to actu.fr.
The other police officers then fired back and injured the driver and his passenger who were taken to hospital.
The injured police officers were also taken to hospital.
An investigation was opened and the IGPN (General Inspectorate of the National Police) was seized.
