Earlier this year, a Norwegian TV celebrity in her 20s was beaten by a security guard at a nightclub in Oslo just before closing time.
Last week he and the accused security guard met in Oslo district court.
Now the verdict is clear and the watchman has been sentenced to prison for 120 days. He must also pay NOK 31,323 in compensation and restitution to the victim.
The celebrity’s lawyer, René Ibsen, tells Nettavisen that the victim is satisfied with the outcome in court.
– He is very satisfied with the verdict and he thinks it is absolutely right. He is happy that the case is over, and that it looks like it will hopefully stop here, says Ibsen.

According to the judgment from the Oslo District Court, the court is convinced that the security guard knocked down the celebrity, who suffered a fracture above his right eye as a result of the incident.
– We register that the court has a different perception of the situation than my client. We will now review the verdict, before we make a final decision on the way forward, writes the guard’s defender, Afzall Sarwar to VG.
