A shooting took place along Auguste Rodinstraat around two o’clock on Thursday afternoon. At least two people were injured. The Brussels police say they have been taken to hospital, a few dozen meters from the scene of the shooting. Police hermetically sealed off the entire neighborhood while waiting for a ballistics expert and the federal judicial police lab. There was a lot of tension among the local residents. They came en masse to the square and did not target prying eyes.

It is the second shooting in the neighborhood in a few days. In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, there was also a shooting nearby. One seriously injured person was taken to hospital. His life is no longer in danger. The injured man is said to have presented himself at the police station further up the road. According to La Dernière Heure, he had first taken the time to hide his phone and his weapon. That does all point in the direction of a possible settlement. It is not clear whether both things can be linked.
