Scott Redding, the Mandalika WSBK Driver Who Highlights Cyclists in Jakarta

Scott Redding which will appear in WSBK Mandalika has recently been widely discussed after highlighting activities cyclist in Jakarta.

Redding’s attention was shown in his Instagram Story upload. From the hotel room where he was staying, Redding recorded the activities of the road bike group on the streets of the Capital City in the morning.

The Aruba.it Ducati racer also commented on the cyclists wearing orange costumes similar to the uniforms for the Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling (PPSU) workers, also known as orange troops.

While on his way to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Redding again found cyclist activity in Jakarta.

Redding’s routine of highlighting the activities of cyclists in Jakarta is not without reason. The former MotoGP racer is one who likes cycling.

This can be seen from Redding’s upload on Instagram which is filled with a number of photos and videos of cycling road bikes when not racing.

“The second day of the two-day annual trip [sepeda] antique. Total 360km,” Redding wrote in one of his posts.

“Really enjoyed this trip with great weather, great people and great vibes and lots of laughs,” Redding added.

The British man’s racing career began in 2008 when he became a 125cc class racer with the Blusens Aprilia Junior team.

Two seasons in the 125cc class, Redding moved up to Moto2 in 2010 with the Marc VDS team. After successfully becoming runner-up in Moto2 2013, Redding was promoted to the elite level in MotoGP.

The 28-year-old racer had a career in MotoGP for five seasons until 2018. Redding’s best achievement in MotoGP was 12th in the 2014 season.

After finishing 21st with 20 points in the 2018 MotoGP, Redding moved to British Superbike in 2019 and went on to win that season.

In the following season Redding returned to the caste in Superbike by appearing in WSBK 2020 with Aruba.it and becoming runner-up at the end of the competition.

In WSBK 2021, currently Redding is in third place in the standings, but has been knocked out of the championship title race.

The 2021 WSBK champion title will be determined at WSBK Mandalika on 19-21 November. So far, Toprak Razgatlioglu and Jonathan Rea will fight for the title.
