A municipal lot that served as a parking lot for cars in the Valencian neighborhood of Cabanyal It has been transformed into a courtyard for the students of the Santiago Apóstol diocesan parochial school, thanks to a project among the students themselves and people with mental health problems, with the collaboration of the educational community and the Valencia City Council, that has given up space.

Despite the confinement and the pandemic, the project has managed to get ahead. As explained to Cadena SER Jordi Bosch, director of the center, “Until now the students did not have a playground in the school and had to go to the public park, but now they have a playground for them.” In addition, during the week and on weekends, activities with neighborhood associations and residents will be held in this new space, “which will be like returning the favor for the land that they will no longer use as parking.”
