School life. The students of the Semailles sent Christmas cards to the soldiers who left on mission

At the end of the year, they left far from home, the time of a mission in the overseas territories. The students of the Les Semailles de Thionville school wanted to send a greeting card to these gendarmes of the Sarreguemines mobile squadron. Attention that is part of the “Christmas cards” operation, offered by the Les Amis de la gendarmerie association.

This week, the chairman of the Thionville committee, Jean-Marc Colombero, visited the schoolchildren, with two military colleagues from Sarreguemines, to discuss with the children, in particular on the job of gendarme. Because that is also the interest of such an operation.

In Stéphane Gangloff’s class, the middle school students were very involved. As much on their desire to give a little balm to the hearts of the gendarmes sent to Guyana for three months, as on their thirst to know a little more about the profession of those who are commanded in Sarreguemines by Captain Christophe Mérieux.

On their return, a meeting time is scheduled. The opportunity to take stock of their missions. And to thank the young Moselle people for their letters.
