“I am reading the news that Latvia is going to transfer the world championship from Belarus. This is very serious, because it turns out that our beloved and peaceful post-Soviet republic wants to steal the world championship from its neighbor, “Nazarov said in an interview with the Russian portal Championat.com.
In the interview, he emphasized that Dinamo Minsk should never leave KHL, as this would mean depriving almost 100% of the possibility of hosting a PC: “I am sure that Dinamo Minsk will never leave KHL. Hockey is the most popular sport in Belarus, I can’t imagine this league without the Minsk team, without their filled stands in home matches. One more thing – “Dinamo” needs to be restored so that the unit stops fighting for the last places in the tournament table. “
“Judging by the media publications, today in Belarus there is a mess not only in the hockey industry, but also in politics. One day people are beaten and arrested, the next they are released. This is completely incomprehensible. I am really sorry to look at this, because I have a lot of friends in Belarus, they are our brothers. We would need to agree with them, resolve everything peacefully, looking for a common language, ”commented the current situation in Belarus.
