In recent days, we have heard unprecedented and unacceptable statements by “Bulgargaz” and KEVR about stopping the gas supply to “Toplofikatsia Sofia”. Such behavior on the part of state institutions and companies is absurd. This is a frank admission that there are not enough contracted quantities of gas. And since there are none, they are taken from the largest heating system.
This was announced by the Mayor of Sofia, Yordanka Fandakova, at a press conference in the municipality, a BGNES reporter reported.
Fandakova was categorical that she will not accept threats for the warmth of the people of Sofia. I understand the impasse of the government and Bulgargaz, but to stop Sofia’s gas in order to take its quantities is an admission of absolute failure and irresponsibility. It is about frank manipulation and lack of agreed quantities of gas, Fandakova repeated.
She admitted that the information disseminated on Thursday was true, that the indebtedness of “Toplofikatsia Sofia” was in the amount of over 328 million BGN, but announced that at the same time the company had an uncollected income of 332 million BGN, and that after payment of compensations , which the Ministry of Energy allocated during the last heating season. She stated that KEVR has a decision from three weeks ago, by which it recognizes that the state owes “Toplofikatsia” 332 million BGN.
