On Wednesday, Lithuania was surrounded by sad news – unexpectedly died songwriter, performer E. Ostapenko. The 44-year-old man, according to loved ones, died of heart failure.
It started on Friday farewell with the singer. It will be possible to say goodbye and express condolences to E. Ostapenko’s family until Saturday noon. 2 p.m. the singer will be melted into last trip.
The performer of eternal rest will lie down in Lébartai, a village in Klaipeda district.
Even when saying goodbye to a pop singer, a social networking star, and the soul of the party, those gathered don’t forget his music. In the background, the hits of E. Ostapenko, familiar to the old and young, are played in the background, and the first albums of the artist raise sentiments.
Armor in the hall, remembering the moments of E. Ostapenko’s colorful life, those gathered at the coffin carry not only white flowers or wreaths, but also a symbolic bicycle. The artist’s hit of the same name was inseparable from the singer.
E. Ostapenko’s family is extremely grateful to everyone for their warm words and support, which is received not only from fans living in Lithuania, but also abroad.
Mom talked about the son and the fateful hour
The last moments of life the singer spent with mamawhich wednesday with Delphi agreed to share memories of his son and spoke of a fateful moment when, unfortunately, no one could help anyone even with medics.
Throughout the conversation, the interlocutor struggled to shed tears – the woman admitted that losing her mother to her child is the most painful thing that can happen.
“For a long time everything was fine with his health, he didn’t get sick … Everything happened suddenly. Worked. I watched TV with me, sat next to an armchair, went to the kitchen for a while to pick up milk with honey, then went to my room. But then he came back, says, “I’m sick, call the ambulance.” And that’s it. The fast did not arrive when everything was already there, ”said the singer’s mother excitedly.
The woman has no complaints about the medics – two ambulances arrived at the scene surprisingly quickly.
“It simply came to our notice then. The Express arrived very quickly, two brigades, but could no longer help anyone. The medics tried to revive him for an hour, but it didn’t help, “she said.
The interlocutor did not hide the fact that despite the fact that Eugene had not complained about his health recently, there had been many in his medical history.
“It simply came to our notice then. But somehow still unexpected. After all, she was only 44 years old, ”the woman grieved.
The mother and son had a very strong relationship, and lately Eugene has lived with her, always willing to help.
“We were very close. All of Lithuania knew this. I accompanied him everywhere, I didn’t miss concerts, “she recalled.

“It simply came to our notice then. I don’t know what it could be anymore. We lost him in five minutes, ” Delphi opened by mom.
Mrs. Liubovė has been happy with her son lately as she has been preparing a new program for her fans, planning to return to the stage with fresh repertoire.

“A lot of people write and call. A lot. Everyone who has interacted with him will agree with me that he was very sincere, calm, helpful. He has created so many beautiful songs and so many hits: “Dviratukas”, “Atostogaut”, “Čigonėlė”, “Auksiniai bateliai”, “Sena pabieda” … I think that a rare performer in Lithuania has so many hits. And she wrote hits for others – to Romas Dambrauskas “The wind blows”, Laima Žemaityte “April my white you”, “Dear goodbye”, “Without you, etc.” – she named.

The unexpected loss of the stage star affected not only Eugene’s family, but also friends, colleagues, fans. About this singer with his memories along with Delphi Vytautas Mikaitis, the event host who worked with him, shared.

V. Mikaitis kept in touch with E. Ostapenko. He met the other side of his personality in a face-to-face meeting with the performer, and the fact that the listeners were waiting for his songs with impatience allowed him to see for himself at the Pravalfest.
“Maestro is gone! – sadness in social networks was not hidden by V. Mikaitis. – I still want to believe that this is a very poor joke. Eugene’s relatives confirmed several times that he had died of heart failure this morning Eugene Ostapenko.
“I’m a super mega star,” the maestro told me laughing in autumn in Smiltyne. Although I knew very little about him, I managed to get to know him differently that afternoon than we were all used to seeing!
Eugene was looking forward to seeing Pravalfeste again. With him, we planned to release a new hit in early May! We do not have a quality archive, I very much hope that it will still be implemented. Let’s remember him only from the good side. Everything else doesn’t matter.

“Eugene absolutely ruled the audience! At Pravalfeste, people ran away from the tents after hearing the first note of the maestro’s song! We had already agreed with Eugene that he would appear this year as well, but … But I promise, his songs will still play at the festival, without Eugene, but we will remember him as he belongs!
“Every song of mine is a hit!” Eugene said in the fall. With no concerts on quarantine, he sent greetings to people. He used to tell me, “Vytai, I don’t have time now. I have three greetings. ” For some reason, he dedicated the whole day to it. Receiving 30 euros each, he supported himself and his family.
We owe it to Eugene for the unforgettable evenings and songs we pulled at every ball. In gratitude, I have already paid Eugene’s mother the full fee for the upcoming Eugene Festival.
I don’t expect Eugene’s mother to be able to get support anywhere else than from our community at this difficult time. Therefore, for the “Bicycle”, for the “Golden Shoes”, for the “Old Song”, for “There will be no marriage” and much more can be thanked for him, “the event host and organizer announced, offering to support the relatives of the victim.

Delphi contacting the singer’s mother, Lubub, confirmed the sad message.
“Yes, Eugene died this morning,” the woman said.
Delphi contacting E. Ostapenko’s colleague, performer Aida Manik, he also assured him of the sad news when he heard it from the singer’s mother.
“It simply came to our notice then. Mom herself posted this message on the facebook wall. When I saw it in the morning I first called his mom who confirmed it. As a colleague, all I can say is that I am very sorry for the loss because it was a talented person. I extend my condolences to his family, “he said.
