BEIJING, 17TH OCTOBER/WAM/ His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, attended this evening the official reception held by His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, on the occasion of his country hosting the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation on October 17 and 18. The event is ongoing with the participation of more than 130 countries and many international organizations.
During his meeting with His Excellency President Xi Jinping, His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” and his wishes for the Forum’s work to succeed in achieving its development and economic goals, and to enhance international economic cooperation within the “Belt and Road” initiative and to the Republic of China. Friendly and its people further progress and prosperity.
His Excellency the Chinese President, His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, conveyed his greetings to His Highness the President of the State, “may God protect him,” and his wishes for the UAE’s continued prosperity and progress.
His Highness also exchanged talks with the leaders of countries and heads of government who attended the reception on a number of issues and topics of common interest, and discussed with them the cooperation relations between the UAE and their countries and ways to enhance them in various fields.
During the ceremony, His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah was accompanied by His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Special Envoy for Climate Change of the UAE.
