Saudi Arabia’s intelligence services warned him neighboring countries and the United States which Iran will soon attack the kingdom and Iraqreports the Wall Street Journal.
According to unnamed Saudi and US officials, the US and countries in the region have therefore increased military alert levels.
It is reported that the Tehran government has opted for military action to divert attention from weeks of ongoing protests in Iran.
A spokesman for the United States National Security Council commented Washington is concerned about the latest Saudi intelligence data and that it will not hesitate to defend the interests of the United States and its partners in the Middle East.
