In a remote communication, the Minister of Sports, Cecilia Pérez; the president of the ANFP, Pablo Milad |; the person in charge of the ANFP Medical Commission, Fernando Yanez; and the president of Conmebol, Alejandro Domínguez, gathered to fine-tune the necessary points so that international matches are played in national territory.
“I am grateful for the excellent predisposition of Dr. Cecilia Pérez, Minister of Sports of Chile, to achieve the realization of international matches in that country. My congratulations also to President Pablo Milad and his team for their admirable work, “said Domínguez.
In the date, Conmebol accepted that international competitions allow a standard equal to or higher than the current protocols, there is a sports quarantine (unique permits to move to and from places of temporary residence and training sessions or matches) and that tests are applied to the delegations in Chile.
“It was a profitable meeting because Conmebol welcomed the contents that for us are essential to seek approval from the health authority that allows international matches to be played in Chile. For us, this was very relevant and that is why an effort is being made to achieve this goal, “said Minister Pérez.
Pablo Milad, meanwhile, explained that “Following the methodology proposed by Conmebol of the bubble system, this system will continue, where foreign teams will arrive directly at the hotel and will be subjected to PCR tests, where they will keep quarantine until the results are obtained.. Once the results are obtained, they will be able to go to the training centers or fight where the game is going to take place and thus we will have them controlled and we will be hand in hand with the requirements of the health authority.
“It will also request the authorization of this exception of the presidential decree for the entry of foreigners and also the non-participation, in what is an obligation today, of the 14-day quarantine, “added the highest authority of national football.
Likewise, Conmebol opened to modify the date for national clubs to register their stadiums for the dispute of these commitments.
