Sanitary measures strictly observed in examination centers


One week before the normal session of the unified baccalaureate examination, the sanitary measures implemented within the examination centers of the region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra are strictly respected, affirmed Friday the Minister of Education government, vocational training, higher education and scientific research, government spokesperson, Saaid Amzazi.
During his visit to the examination centers in the provinces of SidiSlimane, Sidi Yahya El Gharb and Sidi Kacem as well as in the communes of Mechra Bel Ksiri and Lalla Mimouna, the minister welcomed, in a press statement, the strict compliance with the preventive measures put in place in examination centers, as well as the sterilization equipment and protective masks made available to candidates and educational and organizational staff.
In this regard, he highlighted the considerable efforts made by all the stakeholders for the smooth running of the exams, in particular the directors of the centers, the officials of the Regional Academy of Education and Training, as well as the members of associations having taken care to respect the measures and to reinforce the health security of the candidates.
“This visit is a way of thanking and encouraging all of these actors,” he continued, adding that it is also an opportunity to reassure students and their parents about the enhanced security within test centers, and wish them good luck for this important stage in their lives.
For his part, the director of the AREF of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, Mohamed Aderdour, noted that more than 60,000 candidates will pass the baccalaureate during the normal session for the 2019-2020 school year, specifying that 18,000 executives were mobilized for the smooth running of this national event.
“Morocco stood out during this exceptional period by organizing the baccalaureate exam, when other countries canceled or postponed it,” he said, highlighting the measures, initiatives and decisions taken. in place by the Kingdom to counter the spread of the new coronavirus and preserve the health of citizens.
The AREF director clarified that the results of this normal session will be posted on July 15, to make room for the organization of the remedial session scheduled for July 22 to 24, 2020.
Indeed, a total of 62,112 candidates, including 18,509 free, will pass the normal baccalaureate session for the year 2020, in the region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, an evolution of 3% compared to last year .
Among these candidates, 36,424 are registered in the public sector and 7,179 in the private sector, while 18,000 executives and speakers were mobilized for the management of the standardized examination, including 4,320 teachers responsible for corrections in the 50 or so centers spread over the seven directions.
Regarding the geographical distribution of the candidates, 9,846 candidates come from the provincial direction of Rabat (i.e. 16%), 15,325 from that of Salé (25%), 9,376 from Skhirat-Témara (10%), 6,589 from Khémisset (10%), 11,590 from Kenitra (19%), 3,313 from Sidi-Slimane (5%) and 6,073 from Sidi Kacem (10%).
In addition, a health protocol has been put in place in order to preserve the health security of candidates and all those involved in the organization of baccalaureate exams, as well as the mobilization of large spaces such as the covered rooms and amphitheatres as part of physical distance.
