Samsung’s First Dual Foldable Turns Out a Tablet?

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The first dual foldable smartphone Samsung had been said to arrive later this year. The latest info from GizmoChina and the Yogesh leak site is different. Both said that the new launch would occur in the first quarter of 2022.

What’s more interesting about the latest information is that the device in question is a tablet, namely the Galaxy Z Fold Tab. If so, this will also be the first foldable tablet.

But, that shouldn’t really come as a surprise. The Galaxy Z Fold2 has also blurred the lines between smartphones and tablets. This is because the Z Fold2 screen size is 7.6 inches, even though the tablet will be even bigger.

And, it makes sense to mention that a triple device will be a tablet. The current Samsung folding smartphone models are still large when folded.

It’s still quite a while to go to the first quarter of 2022. There are still other plans from Samsung before getting there, namely the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip2 around July-August. The Galaxy Z Fold3 phone in particular will be a test run for the Galaxy Z Fold Tab.

The Galaxy Z Fold3 will carry the S Pen hybrid which will also be used on tablets. It is not yet known what makes it a hybrid, but it is likely to be similar Galaxy S21 Ultra S Pen Pro – with Bluetooth but no slot on the phone.

The Galaxy Z Fold3 will also introduce a newer version of Ultra Thin Glass (UTG), which is thicker and more durable. Both, the S Pen and UTG, will complement the Galaxy Z Fold Tab as well.

Can be Samsung change plans in the middle of the road later for the triple fold or dual foldable tablet. The details still need to be waited.
