Samsung Withdraws Support for Galaxy A30, A50, and More Older Devices

Samsung has announced that it has withdrawn support from some of its older devices, including the Galaxy A30 and A50, which it launched in 2019. The decision was described as part of the company’s policy of giving smartphones five years of security updates and four years of Android updates.

The Galaxy S10 series received its last security update in March 2023. The device was not directly affected by any security vulnerability. During this period, Samsung recommended that all users install the latest security update.

Samsung, Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy S10 5G were not among the devices whose support was discontinued. Because they were released and were not considered part of the S10 lineup.

In addition to the Galaxy S10 series, A30 and A50 not receiving updates, the Galaxy Z Flip will no longer receive monthly updates. Accordingly, only quarterly updates will be shared.
