Samsung effectively completes its mid-range

Samsung announces the upcoming availability of its new mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A41. A slightly more compact model than the Galaxy A51 and A71 which it completes.

Rather discreet in the field of mobile telephony, in France at least, after the formalization of its wide Galaxy S20 range, Samsung is now expanding its mid-range offer. The brand does not advertise the marketing of 5G versions of its A51 and A71, but a slightly more affordable model, the Galaxy A41.

Announced in March in Japan and seen since then in some European countries, the Galaxy A41 promises to be a balanced smartphone. If it displays reasonable dimensions (149.9 x 69.8 x 7.9 mm for 152 g), it contains a 6.1-inch Super AMOLED screen displaying Full HD + (1080 x 2400 pixels) and hiding a fingerprint reader. However, it is not entitled to the punch of the Galaxy A51 and A71 (6.5 and 6.7 inches), and adopts a notch in the shape of a water drop. The smartphone, running Android 10 with the One UI 2.0 interface, is powered by a MediaTek Helio P64 chip flanked by 4 GB of RAM. Its 64 GB storage is expandable through a microSD card and we note the integration of a jack alongside a USB-C port. It can power its 3500 mAh battery, which is compatible with a 15 W fast charge. Note that the smartphone, which operates on the 4G network, can accommodate two SIM cards.

Samsung is also focusing on photography, a part it has particularly succeeded in sound A71. The Galaxy A41 is naturally more modest in this area, but still offers a triple back module. It is broken down into a 48 Mpx main sensor (26 mm lens, f / 2.0) supplemented by an 8 megapixel module with an ultra-wide angle (123 °, f / 2.2) and by a 5 Mpx (f / 2.4) used for capturing portraits. On the front, Samsung offers a 25 megapixel sensor.

Availability in June

For the time being, Samsung France does not specify the exact marketing price for its Galaxy A41, a device that is nevertheless found at 299 euros in Belgium. The brand will reveal it quickly, since it promises availability of the smartphone in the coming days. It will be offered in black, white and prismatic blue, with two months of free access to YouTube Premium.
