Streich also admitted a mistake: The 55-year-old would not have tried hard enough to sign the free transfer Daniel Caligiuri, who is now a top performer in Augsburg. Sports director Saier backs his coach: “With such a decision, there are many aspects to consider. The expectations of a returnee, the age, the contract period, the question of the importance for the current squad and the younger players in this position ‘Callis’ great performance and our modest situation before the Augsburg game I could understand the coach’s feeling. ”
