US Secretary of State Stephen Biegan met with high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss future policies toward North Korea.
Deputy Minister Vegan said he had worked closely with South Korea and shared moments of success and disappointment. He stressed that cooperation between the United States and Korea will be solid in the next administration.

US Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegan met Choi Jong-gun, First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Lee Do-hoon, head of the Korean Peninsula Peace Bargaining Headquarters.
They are all close friends who have been dealing with the North Korean nuclear negotiations for the past two years, and this is the last official meeting before the Biden administration was launched.

Deputy Minister Vegan said that the special representative for North Korea was very rewarding, and he looked back on the process of denuclearization negotiations, which had repeatedly fought fiercely with North Korea.

We urged Vegan to serve as a bridge to the next Biden administration.
On a five-day, four-night schedule, the Vice-Gun Minister of South Korea will meet with Unification Minister Lee In-young and National Intelligence Service Director Park Ji-won.
Also, the Asan Institute for Policy Studies is planning to give a lecture on the theme of’The Future of the US and the Korean Peninsula’.
It is noteworthy that it is expected to provide advice to the North Korean and Biden administrations for the progress of denuclearization along with the backstory of the North Korean nuclear negotiations that have been experienced so far.
