Bollywood actress Krishan Perera, who was arrested in Sharjah for possession of drugs, has been released from jail. The actress’s brother informed about the release of Krisan from jail through social media. His brother Kevin Perera said this while sharing a video call conversation with Chrisan Perera on Instagram. It was also stated that the actress will return to India by Friday.
In the video, the actress’ mother is jumping with joy and asking the actress to come back as soon as possible. The actress also gets emotional while talking during the video call. ” Krisan is now free !! She will be in India in the next 48 hours,” Kevin captioned the video. “You are free now. This is so amazing,” mother Pramila Perera can be heard saying in the video.

27-year-old Chrisan Perera was arrested in a drug case on the 1st of this month. Drugs were found hidden inside the award trophy found in Sharjah. But later in the incident, the accused natives of Mumbai were arrested and confessed to the crime. Also, the family of the actress had earlier come forward demanding that the Prime Minister and the MEA should intervene in the matter to free Krisan. Chrisan Perera was in Sharjah jail since April 1.
At present, the Mumbai police have arrested Antony Paul (35), the owner of the bakery, and his banker friend Rajesh Bubhathe (34), alias Ravi, in the case. The reason for imprisoning the actress is the accused’s previous enmity with the Perera family. Antony Paul’s associate Rajesh approached the actress asking her to go to Sharjah for an audition for a global web series. Then, before going to Dubai, he was asked to carry the trophy in his hand and secretly told that he would be enchanted by it. After the actress landed at the airport, the accused gave information about the drug to the Sharjah Police.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai police have found that Paul tried to trap some other actors in the same way by assuring them of roles in global web series. Also accused Antony Paul has quarreled with Chrisan’s mother Pramila and brother Kevin many times before. The police concluded that the revenge that followed led the accused to this act. Krishan Perera is an actor who is famous for Bollywood films like Sadak-2, Batla House and web series Thingistan.
