Ryanair pilots turn to Minsk 30 km from Lithuanian border – Lukashevich

Sunday, May 23rd, Belarusian security forces attacked a civilian plane Ryanair in the skytraveling from Athens to Vilnius with 123 passengers on board. The target of the persecutors was opposition leader Roman Protasevich, who was detained in Minsk after a forced landing. The pilots tried to reach the last moment to reach the Lithuanian border, but were forced to land the plane due to threats.

About it informs Russian aviation expert Vadim Lukashevich on Facebook.

“To make it finally clear – the pilots of the Ryanair plane forced to land in Belarus pulled to Vilnius until the last moment,” – the message says.

Lukashevich claims that the pilots had to turn back under the threat of a fighter, being only 30 km from the Lithuanian border.

The expert also draws attention to FlightRadar data from previous flights, from which it follows that the pilots always started descent 177 kilometers to Vilnius, but this time the pilots went towards Lithuania without slowing down or slowing down. This means that they tried to escape the pursuit of the fighter, but were forced to turn back just two minutes before the Lithuanian border.

Lukashevich is confident that the aircraft turned around only after a direct threat of attack, which the pilots received from the Belarusian fighter.

Earlier, “Apostrophe” reported that there was a reaction from Europe to the act of air piracy by Lukashenka.
