Ryan Reynolds launches his own streaming service and that’s rubbish

Ryan Reynolds got us used to his eccentricities. After launching his own brand of gin, his passive-aggressive videos with Hugh Jackman, and more recently, his version of Green Lantern and its presence in the Snyder-cut of Justice League, the actor therefore seems to have decided to embark on the adventure of online streaming services.

Mint Mobile +

It’s August 12 on his twitter account @VancityReynolds that the actor announced the creation of MintMobile +, a service for watching feature films on demand.

You would have understood it, this is obviously a new joke from the actor, who took the opportunity to remain active in terms of communication in this cinematically hollow period due to the epidemic crisis. Only one film is currently available on the Mint Mobile + platform and it is about FoolProof, a 2003 film in which Ryan Reynolds, who of course stars in the film, plays a “specialist in highly technological organization” forced to carry out a heist alongside Kristin Booth and Joris Jarsky, who camp two other “specialists”. The film, obviously little known, still has a score of 63% on the site Rotten Tomatoes.

A recognizable reference

The platform as a whole is a copy of the homepage of Disney+, just like the service logo, as you can see below:

It is therefore of course not possible to create an account, nor to take out a subscription (the service is supposed to be free whatever happens). It is nevertheless possible to watch the film in its entirety. We advise you to hurry all the same, since the service does not seem to have had a massive enough success to be able to last over time, and the site is expected to close this weekend, as the star posted on Twitter shortly after the site launched.
