According to him, as of now, three people are known to have died.
As a result of the attack, the church building was destroyed, houses and shops were damaged.
In turn, the head of the Zaporozhye OVA, Yuriy Malashko, said that seven civilians were injured. Three people are in a serious condition, and the rest are in a moderate condition.
He also clarified information about the dead.
“These are (we are talking about the dead – ed.) middle-aged people. These are two women and a man. They tried to resuscitate the man on the spot, but he did not survive,” the official said.
Shelling of Zaporozhye
Recall that today, August 9, in the evening in Zaporizhia, an explosion sounded during an air raid alert. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned local residents about the missile danger.
Later, the secretary of the City Council, Anatoly Kurtev, confirmed that the occupiers had fired at a residential area of the city.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced three deaths in the incident. He promised that the answer to the Russians would be at the forefront.
