Russian Embassy in South Africa Creates Controversy with “Extended BRICS” Map

The Russians in social networks are scandalous, demanding to urgently remove the card and punish all those responsible.

The Russian Embassy in South Africa published on its page on the social network Twitter an “extended BRICS” map showing Russia and Ukraine within their internationally recognized borders. Lavrov actually recognized all of its occupied territories as Ukraine: on the map, Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions are part of Ukraine.

The publication caused a real stir in social networks – users left dozens of comments, chuckling at Russian diplomats.

“I am happy to see that the Russian Embassy in South Africa understands and makes clear that Crimea is part of Ukraine and not Russia. I hope the ambassador has no plans to fly any time soon after he makes this position,” because I heard that his boss Putin is not very pleased”, – one of the users notes with sarcasm in the comment.

At the same time, the Russians are scandalous on social networks, demanding to urgently remove the card and punish all those responsible.

It is noteworthy that Russian diplomats also did not attribute Taiwan to China on the map, which may not please Beijing, Moscow’s closest ally.

Recall that analysts called the absence of Putin at the BRICS summit evidence of an expanding isolation Russia.
