Russia Now Makes Cargo Carrying Weapons Aid to Ukraine ‘Legal Target’

Moscow

Minister of Foreign Affairs Russia Sergey Lavrov said he would not remain silent on those who sent weapons aid to Ukraine. Russia has threatened to make weapons-assisted cargoes to Ukraine a legitimate target.

“We have made it clear that any cargo that will enter Ukrainian territory, which we will consider … (carrying) weapons, will be a legitimate target,” he told state TV channel RT. )

Lavrov said this after a number of NATO countries had promised military assistance to Ukraine. The assistance is in the form of drones to anti-tank missiles. However, he did not explain in detail the intent of the legitimate target.

Lavrov did not say directly whether Russia would attack the arms cargo for Ukraine or not. He then warned that Soviet and Russian-made missile defense systems available to some NATO countries were illegal if transferred to a third country.

The US Had to Send Dozens of Trillion Weapons Aid

US President Joe Biden announced the delivery of security assistance and massive arms to Ukraine. The aid is reportedly worth trillions.

The amount of US arms aid for Ukraine is no joke. It was stated that the aid for weapons reached a value of US$ 1 billion (Rp 14.2 trillion).

Biden announced in his announcement that he guaranteed “unprecedented” support for Ukraine, a US ally, in its war against Russia.

“This is a direct transfer of equipment from our Department of Defense to the Ukrainian military to help them fight this invasion,” said Biden, who also announced US assistance to Ukraine in obtaining “additional long-range anti-aircraft systems”.
