Russia incarcerates Wall Street Journal journalist for espionage | Madhyamam

Moscow: Wall Street Journal reporter Ivan Gershkovich jailed in Russia on espionage charges. The Russian Federal Security Service Agency has accused Ivan Gershkovich of leaking Russian secrets on behalf of the US government.

It is alleged that Russian military secrets were also leaked. The Wall Street Journal has not commented on the reporter’s detention. Gershkovich previously worked at Agence France-Presse and The Moscow Times.
