UK announces new sanctions against Iran – 2024-04-27 21:03:36

He United Kingdom announced this Thursday new sanctions against Iranian drone and missile manufacturers, according to the British Foreign Office in a statement.

The package of measures, announced in coordination with USA y Canadafollows the attack with more than 300 drones and missiles perpetrated on April 13 by the Iranian regime against Israel.

On the 18th, a first package of sanctions was announced in reaction to the Iranian drone attack directed against Israel the previous weekend.

The London Government is now sanctioning two other individuals and four companies that are closely involved with Iran’s drone production network, the note explained.

In addition, London revealed its plans to extend trade sanctions against the Iranian regime, introducing new vetoes on the export to Iran of components used in the production of drones and missiles.

These measures are intended to deprive Iran of access to the components it needs to develop these weapons, thus limiting its military capabilities.

“The Iranian regime’s dangerous attack on Israel risked thousands of civilian casualties and further escalation in the region”said the British Foreign Secretary, David Cameronin the statement.

According to the Tory politician, “the UK and its partners today have sent a clear message: we will hold those responsible for Iran’s destabilizing behavior to account.”

“Together with our partners, we will continue to strengthen the network against Iran’s ability to develop and export these deadly weapons”he added.

According to this, the United Kingdom will ban two directors of a network of Iranian companies involved in the production of drones from traveling to the United Kingdom, Seyed Mohsen Vahabzadeh Moghadam y Abbas Abdi Assertedwhose assets will also be frozen.

London will also sanction the following companies with the freezing of assets: Bonyan Danesh Shargh, Pishro Sanat Aseman Sharif, Alvand Motorbuilding Industries y My Gostar Aseman Parvaz.

To date, this country has imposed more than 400 sanctions against Iran, including the Guardia Islamic Revolutionary and many others responsible for the attacks against Israel. EFE (I)
