In Portovaja, a village west of the metropolis of St. Petersburg, about 10 kilometers from the Finnish border, a gas manufacturing facility of the Russian enterprise Gazprom burns substantial quantities of fuel just about every working day. In accordance to an assessment by Rystad Power, an independent research agency specializing in electrical power issues, somewhere around 4.34 million cubic meters of gasoline are burned every working day. It is estimated that this amount of gasoline has a worth of around 10 million euros.
