The Russian invaders are building up their forces in the Zaporozhye and Kherson directions.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Alexei Gromov, deputy head of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced this during a briefing.
“The enemy has been building up its forces in the Zaporizhia and Kherson directions. Russia has moved three battalion tactical groups from the Novopavlovsk direction to the Krivoy Rog direction. The enemy also attracted one battalion tactical group to the Zaporozhye direction,” he said.
According to Gromov, the replenishment of the Russian forces is carried out through the Kerch bridge and from the Crimea.
“Crimea is being used as a springboard for personnel and weapons. The relocation of the army aviation of the Eastern Military District to the territory of the peninsula has been recorded,” said a representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He also noted that Russia continues to remove military equipment from long-term storage for further shipment to the territory of Ukraine.
