The new screen has a resolution of 2267×819 pixels, a refresh rate of 60Hz and a hole for the front camera, Ross Young says. He is the founder of DisplaySearch, an analyst company with sources from suppliers.

If the information is correct, like the first model, the Galaxy Fold 2 will get a narrow screen on the front, but this time with smaller bezels, especially on the top and bottom. It would be a screen of about 15 centimeters long and 5.4 centimeters wide. With the first Fold this is 10.7 by 4.6 cm.

According to Young, Samsung is planned to place a camera under the screen, but that technique is not yet ready for use in practice. Several manufacturers have already shown prototypes of cameras under the screen, but when phones come out with this, it is not yet clear.

Young does not give details about the specifications of the foldable screen on the inside of the Fold 2. He does say that Samsung is just like the Galaxy Z Flip will use its Ultra Thin Glass. That is a very thin glass layer on the screen, which is covered by another protective layer of plastic. The new protective layer could be more scratch-resistant, Young claims.
