The formalization of Luckassen’s return on loan opens the door to the departure of another defender of the nucleus, including the former Malinois.
This had been clear for several days and the formalization fell on Tuesday morning: Derrick Luckassen is back in Anderlecht.
Sporting would have liked to settle this faster, history that the Dutch defender of 25 years does not miss two weeks of training between July 1 and 14, but discussions with PSV were not simple.
The Dutch club, which does not run on gold either, wanted to definitively sell Luckassen, bought for 5 million from AZ in 2017. It was not financially possible for the RSCA.
