Rozentāls and Blaumanis Museum will host a tour of Rūdolfs Blaumanis’ life in Riga / Day

Already at the age of 12, Rūdolfs Blaumanis began his life in Riga. During school, the future writer lived in a boarding house, but later rented an apartment or room from time to time. One of Blaumanis’ best-known places of residence was with the painter Janis Rozentāls at Alberta Street 12-9, where the writer lived intermittently for the last two years of his life. Although Blaumanis preferred to write in his native Ērgļi, Braku’s home, the city enticed the writer with its cultural and social life. During 33 years, Blaumanis had found both a favorite place to enjoy cakes and places to walk, and a visit to the theater was also indispensable. Friends have shared memories of the writer’s everyday life, sometimes renting a place to live with Blauman.

Saturday, July 4, at 11, visiting a thematic tour Life of Rūdolfs Blaumanis in Riga will be able to get acquainted with the stories about the writer’s daily life in the city. During the tour, it will be possible to see Blaumanis ‘room, where he lived from 1906 to 1908, as well as see Janis Rozentāls’ family home.

Seats are limited. You are invited to apply for the tour using the link https://mobilly.lv/muzeju-bilesu-rezervacija/#/muzeji/75/107/543 or by calling 26586404.
