Mathilde discusses eating disorders
Queen Mathilde (48) visited Villa Samson on Friday, a department of the University Hospital Brussels where patients who have been admitted for a long time can keep in touch with their pets. The queen also took a look at the department of child psychiatry (PAika) and pediatrics at the UZ Brussel, where she spoke about eating disorders in young people.
–
PAika is a psychiatric department where children and young people with mental health problems can go for outpatient and residential help. Mathilde’s visit was dominated by the increasing number of serious eating disorders in children and teenagers due to the corona crisis. The queen spoke to young people about their eating disorders and was told exactly how treatment in the eating clinic works.

Queen Elizabeth is expecting a special birthday present
Actors Helen Mirren (75) and Damian Lewis (50) have recorded an album for Queen Elizabeth’s 95th birthday. The two went into the studio together to make the record ‘The Music of Kings & Queens’. The album features music written by Debbie Wiseman, who wrote music for dozens of films and was honored by Queen Elizabeth for her contribution to the music industry in 2018. Mirren and Lewis tell and sing “the story of Great Britain”. They do this on the basis of twelve monarchs, from William the Conqueror to Elizabeth, who has been on the throne since 1952.
–
The 75-year-old Mirren calls it a “privilege” that she was allowed to work on the record. In 2007 she won an Oscar – and many other awards – for her portrayal of Elizabeth in the movie ‘The Queen’. The album is expected in June, when Elizabeth officially celebrates her birthday. Her real birthday is on April 21, but because it can still be very cold, she often doesn’t celebrate it until the second Saturday in June.
