It is a big blow for the Bernese mattress manufacturer Roviva. The Asylum Organization Zurich (AOZ) has stopped working with the company immediately. The reason is the close ties between Roviva boss Peter Patrik Roth and militant neo-Nazis.
–
Last year, the “Tages-Anzeiger” and the SRF broadcast “Rundschau” made Roth’s contacts public in the extreme right-wing scene. According to this, he owned 50,000 francs in share capital of Fighttex AG, which sells articles from White Rex – a neo-Nazi clothing brand from Russia.

Roth made no secret of his convictions on social media. On Instagram, he posed with Nazi symbols, for example with printed, slightly modified swastikas. And on Facebook, he distributed likes for entries that mocked migrants.

Mattresses for refugees
When it comes to business, Roth suddenly ticks very differently, as the left-wing “Ajour Magazin” reported. He used Roviva to manufacture mattresses specially designed for the Zurich asylum organization for years – tailored to the needs of refugees.

AOZ spokesman Thomas Schmutz confirms that Roviva mattresses were used in the living quarters for asylum seekers in the city of Zurich. But that is now the end: “The connections between the entrepreneur Peter Patrik Roth and circles in the international neo-Nazi scene will lead us to buy mattresses from another manufacturer in the future.”
