An aurora tipster was able to report late on Friday evening that the police were on the scene in Rostadalen in inner Troms.
– I think I heard a helicopter and I saw police with blue lights. They are never here. In Rostadalen there is nothing but mosquitoes, the tipster laughs heartily to Nordlys.
And when Nordlys calls operations manager Lennart Steffensen in the Troms police district soon after, the information is confirmed.
– It concerns an incipient rescue operation, a person had been reported missing, he says.
A few seconds later, the person in question has been picked up, and the police write on their Twitter account at 22:09 that they have mobilized resources that have been sent into the area.
– Person found after a short time by rescue helicopter from Tromsø. Action called off, the operations manager confirms to Nordlys.
