Graziano Rossi, Valentino Rossi’s father, was apparently very enthusiastic if his son could be a teammate with Jorge Lorenzo in MotoGP next season.
That was said in an interview with Corriere dello Sport quoted GPOne, when talking about the plan to move Valentino Rossi to the Yamaha Petronas SRT team in order to continue his career in MotoGP.
Graziano was initially asked about whether a figure like Franco Morbidelli would be the ideal teammate for Vale. “Nobody has an ideal teammate. Certainly not with Morbidelli.”
Interestingly, Graziano then looked very enthusiastic when the name of Jorge Lorenzo was raised as a potential rider to become teammate Valentino Rossi.
“That is a possibility that cannot yet be crossed out. Ah, it would be wonderful if it materialized! A good idea. Who wouldn’t want that possibility?” he said.
Jorge Lorenzo himself has officially retired from MotoGP. But the figure who had been Rossi’s teammate on the Yamaha manufacturer’s team recently indicated it did not close the race opportunities meeting again.
