Representatives from the beverage industry and trade previously called for the exclusion of milk and milk drink packaging from the deposit system. In their opinion, collecting such a package could “treat yourself with a biological bomb.”

The new regulations include, among other things, the postponement of the obligation to collect milk and milk product packaging until 2026. This was announced earlier in an interview with tvn24’s business editorial team. pl Deputy Minister Anita Sowińska.

Large stores with an area of more than 200 square meters must collect empty packaging and return the deposit, while smaller ones will be able to enter the system voluntarily, although they will also collect the deposit . Unsolicited deposit will be used to fund the deposit system.
The investment is intended to encourage repackaging and increase the amount of recycled and processed raw materials used to make packaging.
