English snooker player Ronnie O’Sullivan tapped his rival Mark Selby by claiming that he would never recover from his defeat in the World Cup semi-finals.
O’Sullivan and Selby can meet in the final of the 47th Masters tournament in Milton Keynes.
“You know what, having played with Selby in the last tournament, I realized that the semi-finals really hurt him. At that moment I did not understand it. I thought, “This is just a game, he lost the semi-final. It’s okay, he’ll probably come back and win another time. ” But when I watched his interview after that match, I really saw that he was injured. He just focused on two frames from a 33 frame match. He forgot about 33 frames and focused on two balls.
I don’t think he’ll ever get over it. I think he thinks that he lost this world championship and will never return, ”said O’Sullivan, quoted by .
